Black & Bird Black & Bird’s debut collection ‘After Dark’ is inspired by the glamorous 1920s and the era’s timeless appeal. The headbands make an instant statement with their chic and graceful design and are each personally handmade. The mastermind behind Black & Bird is Loni Parker, a Brisbane-based designer who created the collection after having trouble finding beautiful statement headbands for herself. The Black & Bird ‘After Dark’ collection is available for purchase online on the Black & Bird website. |

Celebre Designs Celebre Designs specialises in handmade fascinators for weddings, race days and special events. Head pieces showcase beautiful satin, silk and lace roses that have been completely handmade. Each petal is cut and candled; a technique used to create the perfect petal that looks real and won’t fray. Feathers, crystals and other adornments are added to create dazzling one off pieces. Fascinators can be made to order to match your gorgeous outfit or come ready made. Pieces come on headbands, clips or combs so they’re comfortable to wear, and will stylishly complete your look for your next big event. |

Encaustic Works Encaustic Works offers handmade glass pendants, bobby pins, heat bags, tote bags, rings and resin gift boxes. Over time I have grown a real love of the Japanese aesthetic and quite often use Japanese motifs in my designs and jewellery. I also create paintings with melted beeswax (encaustic), websites, videos, music and currently manage the digital communications and social media in a creative faculty within an Australian university. |

Francesca Rockette My focus has been creating beautifully crafted, handmade and unique bags and accessories from recycled items, vintage fabrics and rich quality leathers that inspire. The collection ranges from slouchy nappa leather bags with knot details, old school 70’s fringe bags, to neat 50’s inspired snakeskin half moon clutches. My fabric bags pay homage to 70’s kitsch Australiana, (the era in which I grew up), to the vibrant and eclectic prints of the 50’s and 60’s, qhich include teatowel bags with recycled belts, and recycled potato and coffee bags into shoppers. I remain adamant my style is not trend-based, but rather every bag telling a story creating a sense of nostalgia and enjoyment for the wearer, as it has inspired me creating them. |

Spiritfire Designs Spiritfire Designs specialises in upcycled jewellery and handmade art for women who dare to be different and set themselves apart from the crowd. I am incredibly passionate about re-using and upcycling materials destined for landfill or the bottom of the sock drawer. With this philosophy in mind, I create unique upcycled art pieces, including handbags made from vinyl records, necklaces from keyboard keys and dreamcatchers using crochet doilies for example.I love making things that are bright, colourful, quirky and that little bit wild and chaotic. Bold, crazy & beautiful (with a conscience) is what it's all about!
