Unique home and fashion accessories designed & hand crafted by Kirsten Bailey in Brisbane, a designer and maker of hand-home and fashion accessories more recently focusing on Indigo Dyeing using Shibori techniques.

Lava Living pieces are inspired by traditional cultures that once flourished and lived in harmony with the natural world.

Kristy works with natural textiles using skilled traditional Shibori and Indigo dyeing techniques to present a modern interpretation of ancient crafts.
Although the majority of her creations are dyed with Indigo you may find certain lines in other colours that are explorations using fibre reactive dyes dyes which complement the rest of the Indigo collection.

Jaclets March 2016

Introducing Jaclets by Jacqueline Claire

Jaclets by Jacqueline Claire is a clothing and accessories label that’s made right here in Brisbane.

Starting as a hobby in 2005 Jac saw the reaction to her creations grow so swiftly that she started a market stall soon after.

Each item is created by Jac, none of her work is mass-produced, so it’s an absolutely unique product for those who love something different in their wardrobe.
Jac makes tops, wraps, headbands, hats, scarves and other pretty trinkets…you will be sure to find many a treasure to love and adore within her pop-up market shop.

A lover of colour, pompoms, tassels, sequins, and tulle, Jac combines these to make outstanding pieces of clothing and gorgeous accessories. She travels overseas frequently to source an array of embellishments that can take a tank top from everyday to fabulous in the time it takes for her to design, pin and sew each piece. Long nights at the sewing machine coupled with dreams of many, many pretty things are evident when you cast your eye over the collection in its entirety.

Jac has a website where you can browse at your leisure but we recommend making the trip in on the 1st Sunday of each month to meet the lady herself…

if you think her designs are incredible then you are in for a treat when you meet this delightful designer.

Enter the Attic

A paper and book purveyor,

The Attic was nurtured through an obsession for vintage ephemera papers and black and white photographs that have long been discarded and seen the passing of time.

With a treasure trove of handwritten letters, journals filled with longings of yesteryear along with the secrets they contain, The Attic recreates untold stories in their tiny Brisbane studio.

Using a 100 year old book press, along with a very temperamental vintage typewriter and the use of needle & thread, the look is individual, original and unique.

The delicate and artistically pleasing range features Hand Bound Vintage Inspired Journals, Life Quote Cards for your personal writings & various Gift Tags for that special gift.

All of which reflect an intimacy between the product & the observer.

Each one of a kind handmade creation offers a hint of revelation and consideration for its new owner.

It is my passionate belief that we not only desire, but deserve to be the recipient of a hand written letter, note or maybe a book, to record our own life’s journey.

All purchases come packaged in a handmade & stitched vintage paper bag, perfect for your gift giving.
